As a sovereign government, we work hard to provide for our citizens, protect our future as Maidu people, and support the greater community through our projects and enterprises.The Tyme Maidu people have lived in the land now known as Butte County since time immemorial. This means that our history, our worldview, and our relationships with the land, water, and non human relatives in our ancestral territory stretches back to the beginning of time. Our relationship with this place drives our work. We know how important it is to protect these relationships so that our children and grandchildren can continue our ways of life into the future.
