The Inaja Band of Diegueño Mission Indians is a federally recognized Kumeyaay tribe located near Julian, California. Their reservation consists of two land parcels (Inaja and Cosmit). The tribe is governed by an elected council and works to preserve its cultural identity, manage tribal lands, and improve housing and infrastructure. Despite having a small population, the tribe continues to maintain its traditions and sovereignty.
